I was just surfin the web when I came across an article which stated that Joan Rivers finds Jennifer Aniston boring. Well tough luck, Joan. The majority of people love her. I know I do. She seems so down to earth and just simply sweet. I still can't get over that fact that Rivers was quoted like this
"I would like to take Jennifer Aniston and put her hair over her ****ing face," the Rivers told Us Weekly. "I'm so bored with her and her stupid movies."
Rivers is jealous because Jen HAS hair AND a face!
How many times do hairdressers get asked to cut The Rachel or any other of Jen's great styles. How often do you think people walk into a plastic surgeons office and request a Joan Rivers.... just saying!

I'm so stupid!
One of the things I actually like about living in a small town is that no matter where you move to you're never that far away from your best friends. In fact my best friend lives only about 5 houses up the road from me. But when I lost my cellphone a couple of months ago I also lost touch with her. I don't even remember the last time I saw or talked to her. I'm sure she tried to text me and gave up when nothing came back. When I got my home phone hooked up a few days ago I thought about calling her. But stupid me feels I can't just call after not getting a hold of her for such a long time. I miss her so badly. I miss going to shoppers with her trying out stuff and giggling. And I miss watching Grey's with her. It's not nearly as much fun without her. So tonight I'm going to call her anyway and see what happens.
I hope she can forgive me for being such a flake. When she really deserves so much better. But I do love her and I'm sure she knows that.

Okay. I told myself this would not be an outlet for my political frustrations but since this my very first post I figure I should get to say exactly what I want to say. And today nothing is on my mind but the infuriating back and forth when it comes to bringing Canadians home from Libya. The flight was supposed to leave today. Canadians were supposed to be transported to Italy when insurance issues resulted in a cancellation of the flight. It's absolutely mind boggling to me. Those people are Canadians! What is the issue there? There shouldn't be one. Nobody can tell me, that the federal government is being overrun by an insurance company. I like to believe the government has a bit more power than that. If Harper wanted to get the Canadians out of Libya I'm sure he could find a way. And when I read things like "The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs have directed officials to urgently evacuate Canadians from Libya by any means possible." I really lose it. What officials? Who is more official than the Prime Minister? As for Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon who is sitting safely in Italy, do you really think sitting there, ready to greet the Canadians when, and if, they make it there is enough? If Britain can use military air crafts to get their people out then why not Canada? The department of defence justifies the decision by saying there hasn't been a request for help to the Canadian Forces. Does there need to be one? Can you not see the urgency when it comes to saving lives? Now they say a flight has been approved for tomorrow. We'll keep our fingers crossed that Stephen Harper will, for once, stay focused long enough for this to actually happen.
When I moved to Canada 5 years ago I thought I was moving to the greatest place on earth. A nation lucky to have the most beautiful country and the most compassionate people. Now, as I am following the discussion on cbc news online, I can't help feeling somewhat disillusioned. So many of the comments being posted state that once you leave Canadian borders you're on your own. So many Canadians are worried about their tax money being wasted on this rescue mission. And that saddens me. A lot of the Canadians in Libya are working there for Canadian companies. They pay there taxes just like we do here. They are someones family. They are CANADIAN!
I moved to Canada from Germany to study and I for one am really comforted by the thought that if need be my government WILL step up and get me home. Isn't that the way everybody should feel? Isn't that the way especially Canadians should feel?
